Friendship Park

This guide to Friendship Park in Lima's Surco district opens on a 2001 ceremony where Spain's royal family cut the ribbon on a towering mosaic arch modeled on Cordoba's Mezquita. It traces the arch back to its original home on Avenida Arequipa, a gift from Lima's Spanish community, and the traffic-planning decision that tore it down.
