Ortodox Church of Saint Sava

This guide to the Church of Saint Sava in Tivat looks past the calm stone front to the building's own long and interrupted making. It begins in September 1940, when the head of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Gavrilo V, came to lay the foundation stone, and follows the church into the spring of 1941 as war approached Yugoslavia. Best heard standing close enough to the walls to study the stonework.
