Kotor Town Walls

This guide to the Kotor Town Walls in Montenegro follows the Venetian ramparts that climb the rock behind the old town to the castle of San Giovanni. It opens in the summer of sixteen fifty-seven, when an Ottoman army settled in around the town and Venice sent its galleys into the bay. Best heard at the foot of the walls, where you can trace their line up the mountain.
