Gurdić Gate

This guide to the Gurdić Gate, the southern entrance to Kotor's Old Town, is about the water at its feet rather than the stone above it: a stream that rises from a karst cave at the foot of the cliff. It follows the medieval builders who chose this narrow gap between mountain and bay, and the drawbridge, passages and round bastion they raised here. Best heard standing at the moat, looking down.
