Church of Virgin Mary

This guide to the Church of Virgin Mary, better known as Santa Maria in Punta, in Budva's Old Town follows a building that has lost nearly everything it was built to hold. It reaches from Benedictine monks and a disputed Latin plaque to Franciscan friars and a revered icon of the Virgin, then to the year Napoleon's France arrived.
