Cheonjeyeon Waterfalls

This guide to Cheonjeyeon Waterfalls on Jeju traces an old healing ritual once performed here on Cheoseo day, and the older legend behind it of seven celestial nymphs said to descend nightly to bathe in the pool below. The bridge overhead is carved on both sides with those same seven figures, riding clouds upward, and locals still call it the Bridge of the Seven Nymphs. Every other May, a festival at the nearby pavilion reenacts their visit with drums and dance.
