HIGH COURT OF BOMBAY

This guide to the High Court of Bombay in Mumbai starts with the building's Gothic exterior, completed by the British in 1878 to project colonial authority, then points you toward carved stone figures hidden among its galleries: a half-blindfolded monkey holding scales of justice, foxes and wolves dressed as barristers, all carved by Indian artisans whose names were never recorded.
