Aling-Aling Waterfall

Aling-Aling Waterfall's guide sets up a strange rule for this Sambangan valley: the biggest of its falls, sacred to the village, is the one visitors are forbidden to touch. Just downstream, it follows three more falls on the same river, Kroya, Kembar and Pucuk, where local guides walk tourists through rock slides and cliff jumps of increasing height. Stand at the sacred falls first and listen to it roar, untouched, before heading toward the noise of the crowds.
