Flippermúzeum

This guide to the Flippermúzeum in Budapest follows collector Balazs Palfi, who started buying pinball machines as a hobby after playing them at campsites in the 1970s, until his own apartment could no longer hold them all. It traces how he opened this basement museum in April 2014, and walks through machines spanning eighty years, from a hand-tilted wooden bagatelle table from the 1880s to Humpty Dumpty, one of the first machines ever built with flippers, in 1947.
