Hong Kong Science Museum

At the Hong Kong Science Museum, this guide follows the thirty bright orange balls of the Energy Machine as they climb a tower and drop, turning height into chimes, drums and xylophone notes across a track over a kilometre and a half long. It covers the exhibit's debut in April 1991 and the three fixed times each day it performs. Time your visit for eleven, two or five - miss it, and the towers sit silent.
