About this audio guide
This guide to the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington, D.C. opens in June 2026, when a three-hundred-foot slit was found sliced through the pool's brand-new liner just after a renovation ballooned from under two million dollars into a no-bid, fourteen-million-dollar contract. It follows the sabotage theory that led to seven arrests, including an Olympic canoeist, and the scientists who doubted a vandal could pull off either the algae bloom or the clean cut. Stand at the pool's edge and weigh the evidence yourself.
