허심청 온천탕

This guide to Heosimcheong hot spring bathhouse in Busan traces the old Silla-era legend of an injured crane that healed itself in a steaming pool, and the elderly woman who watched and followed its example. It carries the story from village cure to a spring said to have drawn Silla's own kings, and on to the five-story bathhouse Nongshim opened here in 1991. Near the entrance to the old spa town outside, statues of the woman and the crane still stand watch over the water.
