Cathédrale Sainte-Réparate de Nice

This guide to the Cathedrale Sainte-Reparate de Nice opens with a wooden boat carried each October through Nice's Old Town to Place Rossetti, and traces it to the legend of Reparata, a teenage martyr in Roman Palestine said to have survived fire and poison before being beheaded. Fishermen supposedly found her body drifting into this bay in an unmanned boat, and Nice named the whole coastline for that story.
