Bizkaiko Foru Aldundiaren jauregia

This guide to the Bizkaiko Foru Aldundiaren jauregia in Bilbao opens in 1857, when Empress Eugenia de Montijo sent three porcelain vases from the Sevres workshops to Bizkaia, each painted with a face, hers, her husband Napoleon III's, and their newborn son, the Prince Imperial. It follows the prince's death years later, speared by Zulu warriors in South Africa, and the exiled empress's letter home asking for the vases back.
