Albiako Lorategiak

This guide to the Albia Gardens in Bilbao begins with the writer Antonio de Trueba, the nineteenth-century storyteller nicknamed Anton of the songs, and the aching swan-song verse he wrote as he was dying in 1889. It follows his burial at the nearby church of San Vicente Martir, then turns to the bronze figures now watching over the gardens, including Basque nationalist founder Sabino Arana.
