Abando Indalecio Prieto

This guide to Abando station in Bilbao starts on August 26, 1983, when the city's Great Week festival was interrupted by a flood that sent roughly three metres of water through the old town and killed dozens of residents. It follows the water as it poured through this very station, raising the question of what became of the stained-glass window overhead, a fifteen-metre expanse of Biscayan farmhouses and fishermen finished in 1948.
