Sindbad Aqua Park

This guide to Sindbad Aqua Park pairs the resort's fifteen slides with the story of Sindbad the sailor, the Baghdad merchant of the Arabian Nights whose tales grew out of real accounts from Arab traders on the Indian Ocean. It follows two of his voyages, one where he wakes to find solid ground is something far stranger, another where a stranded old man will not let go of his shoulders, and traces the echoes between those stories and the wave pool at the park's center.
