Hurghada Grand Aquarium

This guide to the Grand Aquarium in Hurghada opens forty million years ago, when this stretch of desert was ocean floor and whales swam where sand now stretches for miles. It follows three local businessmen, Magdy, Ali and Mohamed, who set out around 2009 to build an aquarium telling that story indoors, and the years of construction that followed before its opening in January 2015.
