Al Fanādīr

This guide to Al Fanadir, a reef north of Hurghada, follows the point at twelve meters where the coral shelf gives way to open blue water along one of the longest unbroken walls on this stretch of coast. It takes in the camouflaged scorpionfish and moray eels hidden in the reef's cracks, the eagle rays and occasional hammerhead that pass through the open water beyond the drop-off, and the busy night-diving scene the wall is also known for.
