Former KGB headquarters

This guide to the former KGB headquarters in Tallinn traces one building's turn from apartments built in 1912, to the rooms where Estonia's provisional government worked out its 1918 war of independence, to the seat of the Ministry of War. It follows the Soviet occupation of 1940 and the NKVD and KGB who ran the building for the next four decades, and takes you into the bricked-up basement cells where politicians, veterans and neighbours were held before deportation.
