Fubo Hill

This guide to Fubo Hill in Guilin opens with the legend of General Ma Yuan, sent south by the Han dynasty roughly two thousand years ago, said to have sliced into a stone pillar inside this hill's cave to rattle the rebels he was negotiating with, a scar still visible as Sword-Testing Rock. It follows the hill's two dueling legends about the Pearl-Returning Cave nearby. Look for the thousand-year-old self-portrait the calligrapher Mi Fu carved into the cave wall.
