Seebad Enge

This guide to Seebad Enge in Zurich centers on the floating timber bathhouse architect Robert Landolt built in pieces on the far shore of Lake Zurich, the women's side in 1959 and the men's side in 1960, before towing both across the water by barge to this spot. It picks up the story in the spring of 1999, when new operators took over the lease and a storm hit hard enough to send the entrance footbridge underwater, leaving swimmers wondering if the whole bath had gone down with it.
