MFO-Park

MFO-Park in Zurich traces the rise and fall of Maschinenfabrik Oerlikon, the factory that once filled this yard, founded by industrialist Peter Emil Huber-Werdmuller in 1876 and later split into a locomotive builder and a major Swiss arms maker. The guide follows the site from a century of paid work through the last shift clocking out in 1999, and the choice planners faced over some of Zurich's most valuable land minutes from the train station.
