Lions Gate Bridge

This guide to Lions Gate Bridge in Vancouver follows engineer Alfred Taylor's 1933 pitch to the Guinness family to buy vast stretches of forested North Shore land, sight unseen, for a new suburb, and the deal that had the beer company paying to blast a road through Stanley Park and fund a bridge to reach it.
