This guide to the Patscherkofelbahn in Innsbruck-Igls follows the route to Heiligwasser, a spring on the Patscherkofel where two shepherd boys reported a vision of the Virgin Mary in sixteen oh six. It follows their broken promise to the monks of Wilten Abbey, and the day, forty five years on, one shepherd returned to that spring with a child who had never spoken a word. Best heard near the cable car's old Heiligwasser stop, where the water still runs.
