Global Village

This guide to Global Village traces its start in 1997 as a handful of tent kiosks along Dubai Creek during the Dubai Shopping Festival, and its growth into a seasonal park with pavilions from more than ninety countries. It follows the architecture of those pavilions, from a scaled Leaning Tower of Pisa to lantern-lit alleyways styled after China, and the food and live performances filling each one. Go between October and May, when Dubai's cooler air makes wandering the whole grounds comfortable.
