Bluewaters Island

This guide to Bluewaters Island in Dubai starts with the island itself: three million cubic metres of dredged seabed shaped into land that didn't exist twelve years ago. It follows the engineering behind Ain Dubai, the spokeless observation wheel at its center, held together not by spokes but by a web of cables that took engineers from more than ten countries years to work out.
